These original examples of a D-18 Authentic, produced from 2005 to 2012, are known for their lightness of build and uncanny tonal resemblance to an actual pre-war guitar.

This 2007 Martin D-18 Authentic has just come into the shop for consignment -- and it's a particularly strong & balanced sounding example of the model.

This guitar, serial number 1235351, shows an unusual amount of bearclaw figure in its top, making it a visually striking example of the model. The sound is wide open and crisp; and the guitar throws a tremendous amount air forward when dug into with a flatpick.

Overall condition is very good with two minor top dings; a few light finish marks; one noticeable ding near the endpin (see photos). The action sits at 3/32" (bass side) and 2/32" (treble side) under tension of medium gauge strings - with adequate saddle height should the next owner desire lower action.
