"Hey, so I have this really cool T-style build I'm finishing up for you guys..."

All it took was that first sentence for us to shout a resounding "YES" through the phone to Connor Kelly, Chief Everything Officer at High Spirit Guitars.

The result? Well when the builder himself says he considered keeping it, you know it's gotta be something extra special. And it is. So while we absolutely love everything about the original High Spirit designs, having a traditional style build with some of that ultra vibey High Spirit special sauce is pretty captivating.

Outside of the slab body single-cut silhouette, everything else about the guitar is decidedly High Spirit. A hand-polished acrylic "Dalmatian" pickguard set against the Fiesta Red finish has some serious flair that is coupled with the elegance of the custom aluminum bridge and tailpiece set. Handwound Danger Dog pickups are loaded in this one, which provide a full yet chimey tone with great midrange and top end bark. The slightly beefier Fender tone in an angled tele style position is killer!

This is also the first long-scale guitar we've had from High Spirit, and it definitely feels a bit more stout and powerful in this configuration with the added tension. Lows are lower, highs have more spank - the dynamic range ticks up a notch to our ears.

As with all High Spirits, this guitar is so much fun to play. If you're a tele lover looking for something fresh and unique, this T-Style Custom might be in your future!
