Like the ever-popular 6-string Mendocino guitar, the bass model is incredibly lightweight, balanced, and very alive and resonant. This bass is a blast to play, period. And with the Danelectro-inspired aesthetics we'd requested - copper sparkle top finish, single pickup, aluminum guard - it doesn't get any cooler!

Speaking of tones, the Curtis Novak Lipstick Pickup is a perfect match for this semi-hollow bass. Open, airy, fat yet articulate, no muddy tones to be had....Plugged into a Aguilar head/cab, there's both an articulation and fatness to the tone that reminds us of a Jerry Jones or vintage Danelectro bass. It's ultimately incredibly fun and inspiring, which for our money, is 100% the point.
