This Gibson Custom Shop J-50 has just come into the shop on trade! Part of a limited run of guitars, this is essentially, you guessed it, a J-50 with a Red Spruce ("Adirondack" Spruce by its trade name) top. This is a full, crisp sounding guitar that booms with authority when you lay into it with a flatpick. The neck carve is true to mid-1950's form, with a nice, medium-fat C carve and just the right amount of mass in the first position.
Condition: virtually unplayed! There are a few microscopic marks on the top of the guitar, only visible with reflected light; but it's honestly difficult to discern whether they've been there since Gibson made the guitar or whether the original owner grazed it with a pick a few times. It's hard to imagine a "used" guitar being much cleaner than this one. Priced with its original hard case.
