Few electric guitars are as awe-inspriring as a vintage Fender Stratocaster. We are talking about one of the most iconic electric guitars ever after all. Some of the best players of all time have used the Strat as their tool of choice, creating truly timeless music in the process.

This 1965 Sunburst Strat elicits lots of oohs and aahs upon opening the case. It is a really fun and special experience to behold your first vintage guitar. Even if you're a seasoned vintage guitar hound, it's hard to not be a little weak-kneed when you get this thing plugged into your amp of choice.

The neck carve is a gorgeous medium C - not skinny, but not a bat either - just right. The setup is awesome in that it allows heavy right handed playing a la SRV or lighter touches a la Frisell to be executed with ease.

What's interesting about vintage vs modern Strats is that the new Strats tend to have a hyped up top end / treble response (our opinion, of course). This guitar has a voice that manages to be clear and articulate yet really warm at the same time. Don't confuse warm with muddy though - think powerful and fat yet clear tones. It's a very inspiring guitar to play and one begins to see the appeal of these older guitars immediately.

Condition: All original with the exception of a pro refret, an installed 5-way switch, and a few minor screws (the original frets, switch, and screws, etc... are in the case); the pickups are dated 9-2-65; caps, wires, plastic parts, tremolo and tuners are all original and super clean.

Priced with its original cream-colored hard case, which is also in excellent condition. This is a fantastic guitar and would make a valuable addition to any collection!
