Why We Love This

This Fairbanks Nick Lucas is, essentially, Dale Fairbanks' standard 13-fret Nick Lucas, but constructed with Brazilian Rosewood back and sides. The neck is a slim carve, with a tangible V profile.

It presents beautifully in person, but it's been played steadily for 9 years and does sport a few little dings on its top. There's a repaired side crack (treble side) near the neck heel -- a byproduct of side bending, which the builder repaired when the instrument was being put together.

Tonally, this is a huge-sounding, warm, and rich guitar with excellent sustain and "woodiness" of sound. Anyone interested in Dale's guitars will likely be in love at first strum.
