A D1A Varnish might be the perfect guitar for a player who still yearns for that ultra-clear power inherent in the Collings "Standard" lineup.

Why We Love This

This 2006 Collings D1A Varnish has just come into the shop for consignment. Can this guitar really be 17 years old? Aside from one tiny ding in the top, it shines like new and remains in excellent overall condition. Freshly setup in our shop, it needs nothing aside from a new owner to love it.

If you're a Collings devotee, you remember the hype around their varnish finish when it debuted. And what a sound this guitar carries! A D1A Varnish might be the perfect guitar for a player who admires what Collings has been up to with their "Traditional" series (lighter, more open, better response) but still yearns for that ultra-clear, penetrating power inherent in the "Standard" lineup. This sensational sounding instrument is priced with a TKL hardshell case.

Please note: used instruments are, well, used. We pride ourselves on thoroughly vetting, and carefully photographing, each pre-owned instrument we sell, but many of them carry subtle signs of handling that can escape even the most discerning eye. If you have questions about the condition of this instrument, we invite you to call us for an in-hand description. We're here to help!
