The Collings Traditional appointment package reflects a desire to get back to the great building techniques of the 1930s.
What To Know
This recent Collings D1A Traditional Satin is a fine example of the Collings Traditional voice in a dreadnaught. It's big, powerful, and responsive, with a dryness and airiness we often associate with much older instruments, thanks to a thin satin finish and lighter construction--ideal for any flatpicker or strummer looking for a vintage voice and modern playability. This particular instrument has been upgraded with an Adirondack spruce top, for a little extra punch and clarity, as well as with Collings' excellent satin finish for a vintage-inspired aesthetic and slightly more open response. This guitar remains in excellent condition, with clean frets and only light signs of prior handling (light marks on pickguard, etc). Priced with original Collings-branded TKL hardshell case. On consignment.
Please note: used instruments are, well, used. We pride ourselves on thoroughly vetting, and carefully photographing, each pre-owned instrument we sell, but many of them carry subtle signs of handling that can escape even the most discerning eye. If you have questions about the condition of this instrument, we invite you to call us for an in-hand description. We're here to help!
