Hidden Gems #13 | This series finds the staff sharing their personal Hidden Gems from our inventory that they think should be on your radar.
This 1958 Martin 0-15 is the guitar I keep picking up when there is a quiet moment in the shop at the end of the day. For a small guitar, it has a big sound and a unique voice. It’s one of those instruments that is particularly rewarding to play because it almost seems to play itself - I find myself generating a near constant stream of ideas on it that almost seem to come as much from the guitar itself as they do from me.
Yes, it plays well up and down the neck with minimal effort, but there are plenty of guitars that play well and yet do nothing special to inspire me. This 0-15 is the best of both worlds - an instrument that inspires me to play new things while seamlessly facilitating the expression of those ideas.
