TME Vlogs, Episode 7: 1941 Martin D-45

In over 50 years of business, we've had some damn fine guitars come through our door. Surprisingly, or perhaps not, considering their rarity, we'd never had an actual pre-War D-45. Until now. And it has been well worth the wait! Just holding and playing one of these instruments may be a once-in-a-lifetime thrill. This particular D-45 (serial number 77064) was part of the historic Scott Chinery collection and is featured in his 1996 book. A few things have been altered since then but whatever was done, doesn't seem to have compromised the magical sound this guitar delivers.  Have a look (and a listen) below. Our vlog features TME proprietor, Joe Caruso, discussing the mystique of the pre-war D-45; and our demo features Boston-based guitar legend, Duke Levine, showing what's special about the sound of this guitar -- no matter what your playing style may be.
