Description
The SBC1 was Taylor's top-of-the-line electric and showcased their innovative approach to electric guitars.
A heavily chambered Sapele body with a gorgeous walnut top features graceful contours and a slender profile, making it exceptionally comfortable to play. The sapele neck is paired with an ebony fingerboard and the carve is quintessential Taylor - slender, fast, and really comfortable.
Plugged in, the Taylor Style 1 pickups deliver a crisp, articulate tone that reminded us a bit of a Gretsch crossed with a Fender - which is to say, there's a snappiness to single notes and great note separation when playing chords.
Condition: Near mint. Little sign of prior ownership. This guitar spent most of its life in the case.
The SBC1 is a no-brainer for Taylor fans looking to branch off into electrics - or - anyone looking for an impeccably made, gorgeous looking, playing, and sounding electric guitar.
