This early 2000's Santa Cruz Vintage Artist has just come into the shop on trade. It's a big-sounding, well-played-in Mahogany dreadnought that's an excellent choice for a player unconcerned with cosmetic condition. The sound is impressively open and boomy in the low end, with a dry, woody midrange, plenty of punch for single-note flatpicking.
Condition: we rate this guitar in good overall condition. Our shop has just performed a neck reset and fret dress; and the guitar now plays easily, with action set at 3/32" (bass side) and 2/32" (treble side) under tension of medium-gauge strings. This was the previous owner's main gigging instrument, and shows significant cosmetic wear across its surfaces. The top bears numerous dings, scratches, and pick scrapes; and the back shows scratches from shirt buttons. Priced with aftermarket Gator hardshell case.
