Kevin Ryan's Nightingale model consistently earns high praise for sublime tone and unrivaled playability. Ryan guitars are particularly beloved instruments among contemporary fingerstyle guitarists, and for good reason. We have long admired the sound he achieves, as well as the design innovations he has helped pioneer, notable among them his ideas about bracing, top voicing, and the superb, beveled armrest with optimally located soundports. That once-radical idea looks completely at home on this guitar, and makes for an incredibly comfortable playing experience.

Kevin pulled a wonderful wood set for this guitar: top-shelf Sitka spruce pairs beautifully here with the lovely California walnut back and sides. Most important, the guitar sounds excellent. It boasts an impressively  warm, clean sonic palette, wide ranging in color and expressive range. Capable of power in spades, yet responds to lighter attack with ease.
