Glenn Nichols has knocked another one out of the park!
Let us introduce you to the Lexington, a single-cutaway solidbody electric with dual P90 pickups, hand applied finish, and an aesthetic true to the unique design of Glenn's fabulous instruments. This is the second Lexington Glenn has built to date, and is an exclusive model to TME.
It's only natural to think 'classic LP Special', but the Lexington definitely has its own thing going. Glenn's own handwound Alnico 5 P90s have just the right amount of midrange and attack commonly associated with this magnet. More so, they're incredibly dynamic and have that slightly hollow response with wonderful articulation and compression that we're used to hearing in a 60 year old set of pickups. We LOVE P90s here at the shop, so it's great to hear such a well executed version of these in such a killer guitar. The Lexington can handle Country, Blues, Jazz, and Rock with ease, and pretty much everything in between.
A comfortable medium profile neck makes playability a breeze, with the slightly thinner slab body lending itself to quite a comfortable lapped or strapped guitar. Again, we see some features unique to the instrument in the gold pearloid pickguard and white knobs, maintaining that handmade one-of-a-kind approach that we're used to seeing in these guitars.
Catalog looks, top tier tones, and a fit and finish that rivals any small shop builder around. This Lexington's got it.
