Mike Ramsey was first and foremost a fine banjo player and lover of the deep musical traditions that emanated from the mountains of Virginia. He channeled that love later in his life into beautifully crafted banjos that were simple, understated, but imbued with the lore and spirit of old time music. This Chanterelle Special is just such a banjo. Elegant maple pot and neck, Little Wonder style tone ring, and a magical sound. You'll find elements of Kyle Creed and Fred Cockerham deep within the bones if this banjo if you take the time to hone your playing and listen carefully!

  • 12" figured maple 1/4" thick pot
  • Rolled brass tonering
  • 1 5/16" width
