Description

A lyrical voice and a whimsical, vintage vibe win the day for this unique National Custom resophonic. The spider bridge is a game changer here, yielding a beautifully balanced tone. Playability is excellent; the soft, "V" neck profile feels comfortable and easy in the left hand. With rope binding reminiscent of a 1920s Weissenborn, a reimagined diamond fingerboard inlay pattern with Style 4 center squares and pearloid headstock overlay, the custom design draws aesthetic inspiration from the great slide guitars of a bygone era. The guitar has an onboard pickup, and has been drilled possibly for an onboard preamp and balanced XLR output (likely removed by a previous owner). Otherwise, excellent condition. A great, one-off custom resonator for those who prefer the road less traveled.
