This gently used 2009 Martin OM-42 in Cambodian Rosewood presents a unique opportunity for players interested in the fabled "huge sounding small-bodied guitar." The Adirondack spruce top and "Golden Era" bracing give it tremendous power for an OM used as a strummer / flatpicker ~ yet it's lightly built enough to reward a fingerstylist's delicate approach as well. The voice is silky smooth, with abundant overtone content and a reserve of the aforementioned power on tap. Overall condition is excellent: the frets and surfaces are all exceptionally clean, though there is one whisper line of lacquer checking on the top near the bass side of the bridge (nearly impossible to see and/or photograph). Number 4 of 15 made; interior label signed by Chris Martin IV. Priced with its original hard case.
