This Martin D-28 Authentic 1937 VTS AGED has just come into the shop on trade! The already great 1937-style D-28 platform, with the addition of an aged nitrocellulose lacquer finish, gets the player that extra tick closer to the real thing: this guitar is more open, more responsive, and more complex sounding than anything else built in its style. And while the look of a relic finish may be a somewhat divisive topic, we like to remind our customers that the thinness of this finish is what's really important. If you're chasing the warmth, woodiness, and power of a forward-X D-28, this is as close as you'll get in a new guitar.
While pre-owned, this guitar remains in excellent overall condition. It comes to us from the collection of a trusted, client; and it looks like it hasn't been played much since it was originally purchased. All finish wear and "play wear" seen in our photos are parts of the original, factory-distressed finish. Price includes the original Harptone hardshell case.
