Martin no longer makes their GP-18E as part of their standard line, but the Custom Shop brought the design back and outfitted it with some beautiful sinker mahogany for this special model. Ever so slightly deeper, longer and wider than a standard Martin OM, the Grand Performance model offers a serious dynamic and tonal edge while still being comfortably playable. We've noticed that many guitars made with sinker mahogany have an added warmth and complexity of tone compared to non-sinker, and that's true of this guitar as well. It's a deeply satisfying guitar to play, whether you're strumming, fingerpicking, or taking leads. It also comes stage-ready, outfitted with an LR Baggs Anthem pickup installed by Martin.
