If you've been looking for the ultimate, last-one-I'll-ever-buy, don't-want-to-spend-vintage-money Stratocaster, this Lentz Reserve LVS (Legendary Venue Series) in Lamp Black might just be the one.

When it comes to vintage style Strats, the southern California based father & son duo at Lentz are hard to beat. These are very special instruments that are consistently mind-blowing in their attention to detail - the care put in to each build is apparent from the moment you pick one up, you can literally just feel it - not to mention the playability, finish work, feel, and tones.

From Lentz...

"On Sunday, June 18, 1967— during the height of the Summer of Love — Jimi Hendrix literally burned down the house (and his S Style guitar) during his incendiary performance during the final night of the Monterey Pop Festival.

With the Legendary Venues Monterey Pop Festival S Style, we recreate this guitar by bringing together our very best, 25-year cabinet-aged woods, an uber-flamed neck, standard one-piece body (traditional alder or ash — your choice), three custom hand-wound single-coil pickups specially matched to the individual guitar, and a profusion of parts — including bridge, saddles, strap buttons, pickguard, pickguard shield, trem plate, and more—all custom made. We exclusively use NOS paper-in-oil capacitors (hermetically sealed) with potentiometer matching.

Built with no compromises for today’s player, the Legendary Venues Series Monterey Pop Festival S Style guitar will instantly take you back to a time when we all knew that rock’n’roll could — and would — change the world."

Condition: Excellent. Being a black finish guitar, there are very slight signs of prior ownership visible, but you have to really give the guitar a thorough once-over to see them. There is slight discoloration on the pickguard by the 5-way switch and very, very light fret wear forming (barely there).

Priced with original hardshell case.
