Koll fans, you are likely aware of the legendary Neil Young-style Super Glide Almighty that Saul unveiled at the NAMM show a few years back (and its twin we just took delivery of) - hard to forget such an amazing looking Koll! We have been hoping Saul would do a rebuild of that specific guitar (which he has), but to our surprise, he also built us a second "Old Black" style SGA!

What separates these two unique, Neil Young influenced SGA's? Basically, this guitar, dubbed "Little Neil", embodies more of a Koll vibe & interpretation of Neil Young's "Old Black" Les Paul vs the other heavily relic'd SGA, dubbed "Neil". 

The giveaways are found in the Koll half-heart pickguard, pearl thumbnail fingerboard inlays, Bigsby B5, chambered mahogany body/maple top combo, black top (over gold!) and natural back, Koll custom knobs...all Koll signatures that fans of Saul's work will instantly recognize. If you're new to Koll guitars, these instruments meld the best elements of Gibson and Gretsch guitars into something new, very musical, and inspiring both visually and tonally. 

Loaded with a Wolfetone P90 in the neck and a Lollar Firebird in the bridge, this guitar is a rock machine in the Neil tradition. The Firebird pickup has an awesome clarity and bite to it, perfect for heaping gobs of fuzz onto which retaining some clarity, and the Wolfetone P90 delivers classic midrange goodness while remaining clear and open sounding. The combo is truly a best of both worlds situation. Even though we're describing the gained out side of the guitar (Crazy Horse-era, right?), to be sure you can coax some gorgeous clean tones out of this guitar as well - it's far from a one trick pony. 

This is such a cool guitar, and to our knowledge, the only SGA made like this (outside of the two SGA's that are more relic'd and closer to Neil's Gibson). Not one to hesitate on if this appeals to you in any way as it's sure to go quick! We've been Koll fans for years and this SGA is another reminder of why. Priced with hardshell case.
