Sometimes, if you're lucky, lightning really does strike twice...
In 2018, Saul Koll took the guitar world by storm at NAMM, showcasing a legendary piece of gear: a 1972 Marshall Super Lead that once belonged to none other than Neil Young—the same amp used on “Rockin’ in the Free World”. But that wasn’t all. Saul also revealed a tribute to Neil’s iconic “Old Black” Les Paul—a custom Koll Super Glide Almighty, meticulously crafted to resemble Neil’s legendary guitar. A true one-of-one.
Unsurprisingly, it sold instantly—never even making it back from the show to our shop. It looked stunning in the photos, and we’ve been dreaming of it ever since.
Well, the day has finally come that we have this special guitar in the shop, and trust us—it was worth the wait. To state the obvious, this guitar is insanely cool (Koll fans, we can hear your cheers from here, and we’re right there with you!). The moment you see this guitar in person, it’s impossible not to let out a big "ooooh myyyy!" Every hallmark of a Koll masterpiece is here: the sleek Glide body shape, unmatched playability, flawless craftsmanship (Saul even included the second “mystery control cover” from Neil’s original on the back, and the rich, dynamic tones. And all of this, wrapped up in a guitar that looks just like Neil’s Old Black? Too cool.
What’s especially amazing about this guitar is how much it feels like a Koll-made Les Paul. It’s got the weight, the solid feel, and that unmistakable punch that begs you to crank your amp to 11. It’s a pure rock 'n' roll machine, through and through.
This Super Glide Almighty is one of just three in existence. You know what to do—hit "add to cart" before it’s gone. You won’t regret it.
