Description
Our latest Rietbergen was inspired by a vintage Gibson ES-295 and we love how Huber put their spin on that classic design. It's such a thrill to present ideas for builds and see how each builder we work with interprets them. Dream job, you say? Yes, yes it is!
Named for Nik Huber's wife's family name, the Rietbergen is an heirloom quality hollow-body constructed of a carved, exceptionally curly maple top and carved Mahogany body that incorporates a center block into the design. The build quality and attention to detail are flawless and the satin finish on the back and neck make this ultra-lightweight guitar feel instantly comfortable and familiar.
Block mother-of-pearl inlays along with aforementioned finish, custom 1956 P90 style pickups w/creme covers, curly maple binding, aged nickel hardware, abalone dots, and an ebony fingerboard and headstock veneer round out the deluxe appointments.
The Rietbergen has a complex, rich, and versatile voice - nice top-end clarity coupled with a fat midrange - that sounds great clean or it can pack a punch when you crank your amp.
The Rietbergen is a remarkably cool guitar that would satisfy both players and collectors looking for a unique instrument built by a company at the the top of their game. Priced with hardshell case.
