We absolutely love Heiden mandolins for their inimitable, harmonically rich voice, exceptional attention to detail, and perfect feel. Every time we are lucky enough to have one come through the shop, it feels special. This Artist F, completed in 2007, leans a little more traditional in both sound and appointments. Single notes have a beautiful, woody, focused quality, and the chop is satisfyingly dry and full, all at once. As with other Heidens we have played, this mandolin has a big dynamic range, and a varied attack will reveal a range of tonal colors.

With a build quality that is second to none, and a rich, autumn-hued sunburst under Heiden's warm varnish finish, this mandolin makes for an elegant, refined presentation. Super satisfying to behold, and even more enjoyable to hear, this one is an easy staff favorite right now!
