Instead, they come about spontaneously based on an idea Don wants to pursue, or a special batch of wood, each resulting guitar unique and distinct from the others in the small batch. Translation: this is Don having fun and pouring that little bit extra into each guitar - very cool! 

This PlexiT Hollow is the perfect amalgam of a Gibson LP Jr's mahogany/doghair finish, elements of a Gretsch (Filter'Tron style pickups, knobs, Cat-Eye F-holes, and plexi guard), and of course, a Telecaster. The result is a stunningly beautiful guitar that exudes classic beauty that looks familiar yet new all at the same time. Sonically, there's evidence of each guitar present as well it should be noted. 

Being a Grosh, the build quality is outstanding, and frankly, flawless. Grosh fretwork is legendary for a reason - Don and crew consistently deliver the best fretwork going. The result? Guitars don't get much easier to play, period. Deluxe, luxurious, smooth, fast, sleek....wonderful. 

The chime and top-end clarity of the TV Jones pickups are a perfect match for the warmer, midrange-centric mahogany body, while the maple neck and 25 1/2" scale length ensure things never get muddy. Grosh guitars have a wonderfully smooth, perfectly compressed quality to them sonically. No ice pick tones, no wooly tones...they're punchy, muscular, and very balanced.
