Players who love the classics but need modern playability should put this guitar in the cart immediately - you won't be disappointed.

Don Grosh is a master of making a modern-leaning guitar feel like an old friend that hasn't forgotten their roots - a brilliant combination to be sure. A prime example is this 59 Burst Tele Custom-style NOS VT.

When we say modern-leaning, we simply mean that the build quality is flawless - Grosh guitars are impeccably well made...every time (their consistency is something to be noted as exceptional in the world of instruments). There are also little modern easter eggs lurking if you know where to look - locking tuners, 22 frets, 10" radius, etc...

With perfect fretwork and the large roundback neck carve (.87-.97"), this T-style build feels instantly comfy with its ultra-smooth aged satin finish. What has us smiling every time we sit with a Grosh T-style is how un-Tele-like they are with regards to playability. These guitars are just so effortless to play, Strat players who might not bond with Teles will instantly fall in love with this one.

Acoustically this guitar is loud, resonant, and snappy. Plugged in, you're met with huge, refined Tele tones. We can't imagine this guitar not working in all but the most extreme genres (ie, heavier drop-tuned stuff). Cleans, overdriven, whatever you're after this guitar goes there with you easily.

It should be noted that the refined quality of Grosh guitars goes beyond the build into the tones they produce as well. They're rooted in classic Fender sounds but are a bit more balanced and refined - meaning, if you're into super twangy chickin' pickin' tones, this one might not twang quite enough for you. It's not as raw sounding, which truthfully, is right up our alley - but we love both types of T-styles to be sure.
