As with all Grosh guitars we've ever had, this Grosh NOS Retro with a Grosh 327 humbucker possesses all the hallmarks of an exceptional instrument: lightweight, loud, chimey, and balanced when played acoustically, flawless setup and playability, etc...The satin neck is pure heaven to play on and the alder body shows some gorgeous, understated figuring.
Plugged in, you're treated to all the Strat goodness one could ever want with the added plus of a splittable Grosh 327 humbucker in the bridge position. What does that mean exactly? The weak link in most Strats has been removed - the bridge pickup. You can get really fat humbucker tones, traditional Strat single coil bridge tones (via the push/pull tone control which splits the humbucker), in addition to all the SRV & Hendrix hollow neck pickup sounds, Knopfler "cluck"...it's all here.
Condition: Very good. Finish wear on the top (small little dots in the finish) along w/a few surface marks and light dings, an indentation on the back of the body (see neck plate photo and look a little south of the bottom left screw), a small ding on the headstock, and very slight fret wear. Otherwise, the setup feels great w/low action.
