This beautiful '59 Burst NOS Strat was inspired by the legendary NYC session ace, Hiram Bullock.

As an original member of David Letterman's "World's Most Dangerous Band", in addition to playing with Steely Dan, Paul Simon, Sting, and many others, you can imagine the range of tones Hiram was called on to provide. As huge Fender and Gibson fans ourselves, we love the added versatility that a pair of humbuckers bring to the classic Strat platform.

Does is sound exactly like a traditional Strat or exactly like a Les Paul? Nope, but, that's not exactly the goal. What you can do is get into beefed up Strat tones and LP-like impact (with added clarity and snap) with ease. That along with a 5-way switch and blend control (Master Volume, Master Tone, Blend) opens up all kinds of tones from the already versatile Strat. Best of both worlds - playability of a Strat, beefier tones of an LP.

It should be noted that the blend control is the "secret weapon" of this guitar. It really lets you dial in the amount of midrange response you want to hear. Anything from mid-forward, PAF-like tones to more mid-neutral, "hollow' Fender sounds are available at the turn of the knob. Very cool.

If you're new to Grosh guitars, you can expect to be floored by the build quality, playability, feel, and tones. Flawless is a term that comes to mind. Some of the best fret work going....deluxe playing experience...etc... These are Strats that have been refined and perfected, but not at the expense of soul and vibe. We've always felt that's Don's genius - blending in modern improvements while retaining what makes a great vintage Strat a great vintage Strat.
