Description

The Grosh Electrajet has been thought of as a modern classic in boutique guitar circles for well over a decade now, and we couldn't agree more. It effortlessly embodies the classic Grosh vintage-modern ethos and is versatile enough to cover a wide range of genres and tones. Basically? Anything you'd reach for your Strat, Tele, or Gibson for, the Electrajet can cover.

This is a special Electrajet for a few reasons - it's the first Grosh that's been available in Pelham Blue, a color one of our customers asked Don to use for a NOS Retro build. When Don mentioned he'd have enough left over for a few guitars we jumped at the chance. After mulling it over, we pitched the idea of a Non Reverse Firebird vibe, and per usual, Don and crew did not disappoint!! What a stunningly beautiful EJ, no?

Aside from a few of our requests to solidify the Firebird theme - reflector knobs, G90s (Don's hand-wound P90s) w/black covers, and a matching headstock - this is a classic EJ build.

Speaking of Don's G90 pickups...don't be fooled into thinking these are simply Gibson P90s with a different name. While the G90s do embody the characteristic midrange fatness, they're quite a bit more versatile than you'd think. There's lots of Fender-like top end snap and twang on tap here, and depending on your touch and rig settings, you can pull "Tele-but-fatter" tones, Strat-like cluck, and even some Les Paul Special middle position tones from this easy to play EJ.

Strat luminary Mark Knopfler owns and plays an Electrajet...'nuff said, right? These are wonderful guitars that will get Fender players a little closer to their Gibson cousins, and Gibson players into a Fender style with ease. Lifers as we like to call them - an EJ could make you happy for many, many years indeed. Priced with hardshell case.
