Every time we receive a guitar from Barry Grzebik at Grez Guitars, we’re reminded of just how unique his work is. Each one has its own character, and no two are ever alike. This beautiful Metallic Blue Topped Mendocino is no exception, and it's another beautiful example from the renowned California builder.

This Mendocino follows the path of a previous model we had in the shop, but with a change of pickups. This version features Lollar humbucker-sized Charlie Christian pickups instead of gold foils. This change brings a bit more output yet retains the clarity and articulation that is inherent in the Mendocino. Frisell fans will no doubt find a lot to love here, though when you add some moderate gain, we have a feeling blues players will dig what the Lollars are bringing to the party.
