We're huge fans of CA-based Grez Guitars here at TME. They're incredibly musical instruments that are simply a blast to play, they always sound incredible, and the design and aesthetic are top-notch. This is our first archtop from Grez and all the aforementioned attributes apply - such a cool, fun, no frills workhorse of a guitar. From Barry @ Grez...
"Grez Archtops are hand-laminated using vintage forms and presses that once belonged to R.C. Allen. The guitar backs use a traditional cross-laminating process that creates uniform stiffness across the back. Our maple tops use a proprietary lay up schedule that mimics the stiffness profile of a spruce top with X bracing. This enhances low and low-mid response while maintaining the upper mid and high frequency sound of Maple, creating an instrument that sounds like no other with great tonal balance and warmth."
