A none-more-handsome Gretsch has just landed in the shop!

This Duo Jet is based on one of the rarer upscale variants Gretsch released in the late 50s, featuring a Cadillac Green top finish, gold hardware, and a pair of TV Jones T-Armond single coil pickups atop a chambered Mahogany body. The back-painted gold "teardrop" pickguard, armrest, and Bigsby are classic Gretsch, presenting an aesthetic as elevated as the name of the finish suggests.

Tonally, these Duo Jets have great clarity with a nice airiness about them, behaving somewhat like a true semi-hollow body electric in that the chambered body does allow for more of that resonant, acoustic-like response. This is a wonderful sounding instrument that rewards the player with a sleek, comfortable feel and smooth playability. 

A guitar not just primed for country and jazz, this Gretsch is just as capable of an instrument for rock and blues, offering up a different flavor with a stage-worthy look.

Condition: Near Mint. This guitar is in fabulous condition, plain and simple. No identifiable nicks and scratches with the exception of one small superficial blemish adjacent to the edge of the bass side end of the bridge base. All of the gold hardware remains vibrant and unfaded with very little wear. The frets are clean with no wear. Even the pickguard is void of any pick scratches. It's borderline NOS condition.
