The venerable Gibson ES-175 is perhaps the most popular electric archtop produced since its release in 1949, with production still continuing today. This 1994 model represents the more sought-after configuration with its twin humbucker pickups, and features an ABR-1 bridge atop the floating Rosewood bridge base, offering more control over setup and intonation.

The '57 Classic humbuckers aim at achieving early PAF tone, with a clear top end response, musical compression, and great dynamic response. Clean tones are absolutely wonderful, with the ability to go from authentic mellow jazz tones with the neck pickup to a more robust fundamental attack in the bridge position.

What really stands out with this ES-175 is that it has the acoustic resonance and power of a guitar twice its age. It's very punchy and offers exceptional note definition all with the great woody character that these models inherently possess. It's been very well maintained and shows only the typical handling wear one could expect with a 30+ year old guitar. Currently set up with D'Addario EJ21 nickel wound strings, playability is excellent and very nicely dialed in by our great repair staff.
