Vintage conversion aficionados can appreciate Gibson's Custom Shop recognizing the popularity of such guitars with their release of the Hot Mod '55 Reissue. Taking the concept of a mid 50s Goldtop that had been refinished and outfitted with the later 50s spec humbuckers, the Hot Mod bridges two core design elements of each 50s LP style into one guitar.
This is a great playing lightweight (sub 8.5lbs!) example that received a couple of nice upgrades in the pickup and hardware department by way of some OX4 humbuckers and a MojoAxe bridge. The original harness was also replaced with Mojo spec pots and Russian PIO caps. There's some routine playwear throughout - buckle rash, scuffs, small dings here and there - but nothing out of the ordinary. It comes in its original hardshell case with COA and case candy.
