Mid/late 90s examples of Gibson's famed Les Paul Reissues have amassed a cult following for their authenticity and Golden Era vibe.

We've had our share of great Custom Shop Les Pauls in the store, but this may be the cleanest and earliest to come through.

This 1997 Gibson Custom Shop Historic 1960 Les Paul Reissue looks like it rolled out of the factory just yesterday. Incredibly well-preserved and well-maintained, it's got one of the nicest flamed Maple tops you'll see anywhere! There's always a lot of talk about the "Good Wood" Era from the early days of the Custom Shop, and this LP would back that up without question. It reminds us of a lot of the great Eastern Maple that graced the tops of heralded 50s LPs, with a wide and wavy grain pattern that is dynamic and attention-grabbing.

Outside of some string changes, the guitar has remained 100% original. All hardware and plastics are as you'd find them from the factory, and the original '57 Classic humbuckers and wiring harness remain. The original and rare Gibson Historic hardshell case is also included along with the original hangtag and truss rod wrench.

All in all, a truly exceptional Les Paul in near collector-grade condition.
