Dressed in all-black with complementing gold hardware, it's an undeniably classic aesthetic that propelled Gibson Les Paul Customs to their decades-long popularity. The original Gibson 490R and 498T humbuckers have power and bite that give these guitars roaring midrange with tight low end and great clarity.
The medium C carve neck reminds us a bit of a cross between a 59 LP neck shape and a 64 Gibson neck shape - comfortable with a nice taper that gets full up the neck without being fatiguing. A truly great neck carve! To top it off, this LP comes in under 9lbs - borderline featherweight when it comes to Les Pauls!
Condition: Excellent. Signs of prior ownership with some light handling and play wear, but still very clean. All of the gold hardware is very clean with minimal to no fading or patina. There's a few dings, notably one on the bass side lower bout and one on the treble side waist. Truth be told, a black guitar can be revealing of wear more than other colors, but generally speaking, this is a very clean example.
