"The Radar is our take on classic “import” guitars of the ‘60s that put their own twist on iconic American designs. Our goal was to create something that is instantly familiar and completely its own."
Love what the Frank Brothers are doing but prefer something in the short-scale realm rather than the long-scale? The stunning Silver Fox Radar model might be your perfect fit. With a 24.75" scale length, a mahogany body and neck, three Duncan Antiquity mini humbuckers, and SG-inspired horns, the Radar honors classic design while carving out its own unique identity—pure Frank Brothers.
As with all guitars from this exceptional Toronto-based team, the Radar showcases thoughtful electronics and remarkable versatility, making it as functional as it is beautiful.
The trio of mini humbuckers delivers a tonal spectrum that bridges the best of Gibson and Fender. You’ll find Strat-inspired tones, especially the iconic Strat "cluck" of positions 2 and 4, alongside rich, Gibson-esque bridge and neck sounds. Crisp, clear, and full of bite, these pickups perfectly complement the Radar’s design.
While the Radar may appear to follow a traditional 2-volume, 2-tone control layout, it veers in an unexpected direction. Alongside two volume controls, you’ll find a mid-blend control and a single tone control. The mini-switch toggles the middle pickup on and off, offering incredible flexibility. You can dial in as much Fender-esque sparkle or classic Strat "cluck" as you’d like—or bypass it altogether. This intuitive setup makes the Radar incredibly easy to navigate and endlessly inspiring to play.
Worried about the tuning stability of the Maestro Vibrato? Don't, it works perfectly - and let's be honest, it looks amazing and adds such a cool vintage vibe to the build.
A thoughtful, versatile, and impeccably designed instrument, the Radar is a testament to the Frank Brothers’ innovation and craftsmanship. Bravo!

Brand Story
As the Frank Brothers' first dealer in 2016—thanks to a glowing recommendation from Toronto-based master builder Joseph Yanuziello—we recognized right away that these guitars were something special.
Joseph’s impeccable craftsmanship and discerning eye for quality have always guided our choices, and the Frank Brothers' instruments lived up to every expectation.
