1983 Fender Precision Bass just into the shop! This is a remarkably clean example of one of the later Fullerton-made Precision basses in a classic color, and it happens to be one of the lightest we've encountered to date.
We recently acquired this from a longtime local customer who'd purchased it many years ago, and clearly kept it in tip top shape.
It's got a great playing Maple neck that loosely mimics that of the early 60s P Basses, and recently had a Custom Shop '62 P Bass pickup installed to replace an early no-name aftermarket pickup that ended up in the bass at some point.
It's crazy to think that this P Bass is over 40 years old considering its condition, but what continues to impress us most about basses from this era is their relative value in the market. These offer players access to a much more old-school P Bass vibe and feel at a tremendous price point.
Priced with aftermarket gig bag.
