The magic of a great Telecaster is how it manages to feel both familiar and endlessly inspiring and this 1955 Telecaster Relic, Masterbuilt by Greg Fessler, nails that balance.

Finished in a beautifully aged 2-Color Sunburst nitro with just the right amount of wear, this '55 Tele looks and feels like an old friend the moment you pick it up. A period-correct black guard and vintage silver decal complete the picture.
Greg Fessler has been building at Fender for over three decades, crafting instruments for players like Robben Ford, John Mayer, Hank Marvin, and Joe Bonamassa to name but a few. His subtle touch and eye for detail make his guitars feel alive the moment you pick them up, and this ’55 Tele is no exception. A roasted ash body keeps things lightweight and resonant, while the roasted quartersawn maple neck, carved into a substantial ’54 Soft V (.90–.98"), offers a vintage-leaning feel, but always with player comfort in mind. A 9 1/2" radius and narrow tall 6105 frets add just the right dose of modern playability to make this Tele feel alive and agile in hand.
Tone comes courtesy of Custom Shop pickup legend Josefina's hand-wound pickups: a Twisted Tele neck for warmth and Strat-like openness, and an Original Blackguard bridge for grit, sparkle, and that unmistakable Tele snap. With modern wiring and the Greasebucket circuit, the tonal range opens up beautifully.
Every detail has been dialed in: vintage-style tuners, a relic’d Nocaster bridge w/compensated brass saddles, and tasteful aging that feels authentic rather than overdone. The result is a Tele that channels the spirit of 1955 while offering the playability and reliability only a modern Masterbuilt can deliver.
