This is our first guitar from Fender Custom Shop Masterbuilder David Brown and to put it simply, we’re absolutely loving it. At the Masterbuilt level, you’re stepping into boutique territory: each instrument shaped entirely by one set of hands, with its own unique feel, voice, and vision of what makes a guitar great. That individuality is what makes these guitars so exciting.

David’s take on a 1952 Telecaster isn’t a strict replica, and we’re glad it’s not if we're honest. With a 9.5" radius and a comfortable '60s Oval C neck profile (.79–.93"), it nods to the past while offering modern playability. If you’ve ever wrestled with a “boat neck” early-’50s Tele, you’ll appreciate just how inviting this one feels.

What stands out most is how alive this guitar is - resonant, loud acoustically, and incredibly responsive. The '50–'51 Blackguard pickups absolutely deliver, and the overall feel hits that perfect middle ground: dynamic and expressive without being stiff or overly forgiving.
