Offered as part of a super limited run of just 100 builds, this 2020 Fender Custom Shop Masterbuilt Eric Johnson "Virginia" Stratocaster represents the pinnacle of Fender's craftsmanship, and their unwavering dedication to representing one of the most influential guitars in modern music history.

Master Builder Carlos Lopez took on the task of executing these "Virginia" builds, and he's done it to perfection. From the Sassafras body - mythically unique and rare to only a handful of the earliest 1954 Stratocasters - to the gorgeously figured Maple neck, first-year contours and stylings like the short skirt knobs and rounded pickup covers, this Masterbuilt beauty is truly remarkable in looks, feel, and tone.

In true early 50s fashion, this "Virginia" has a distinct woodiness to its sound, with an immediacy to its attack and a wonderful dynamic response thanks to the handwound pickups. The neck profile is a house favorite, with rounded fingerboard edges that make the 10/56 soft V carve melt in your hands. The jumbo frets are certainly larger than what would've original been on a '54 Strat, but in turn offer excellent modern playability.

This Masterbuilt "Virginia" Strat is one of those guitars that has the collectability factory along with being a truly great player. There's a reason they're so sought after!

Condition: Excellent. To the naked eye, you'd be hard pressed to find much in the way of play wear.
