Hand-wound in the Fender Custom Shop by Master Pickup Winder Josefina Campos, the Dual-Mag II Strat pickups are all about balance - shimmering, clear highs paired with rich, focused lows thanks to a mix of Alnico 2 and Alnico 5 magnets.

From the low E through G, you’ll find unbeveled Alnico 5 magnets for punch and clarity, while the B and high E use hand-beveled Alnico 2 for sweetness and warmth. Each pickup is copper-shielded to keep noise to a minimum, and features a custom stagger with a “low G” magnet for a smooth transition from wound to plain strings. That Alnico 5 under the G makes it sing just right, while the slightly taller-than-vintage Alnico 2 on the B and E ensures perfect string-to-string balance.

True to its name, the Dual-Mag II combines two magnet types to deliver one of the clearest, most evenly balanced Strat tones you’re likely to hear - responsive, articulate, and inspiring under the fingers.
