Fender absolutely nailed all the details with this '60 Telecaster and the results are phenomenal. This '60 Tele simply looks, plays, and sounds like an old guitar.
The unique combination of a 2-piece ash body, rift-sawn Maple neck, flat laminate rosewood fretboard, and threaded steel saddles present a fundamentally powerful tele tone with a chirpy top end. Plugged in, the '58 handwound pickups deliver excellent balance and clarity, making it an ideal guitar for all genres. This isn't just a country picker's guitar, folks!
Feel is great thanks to a well-done Journeyman finish (think light relic). The neck has a touch more wear on the back to give it a more played-in feel without disturbing the aesthetic.
If you've longed for a Custom Shop Tele that showcases some of the best of Leo's designs in one instrument, it might just be this '60 Telecaster.
