This Custom Shop '58 Stratocaster recently found its way back to us and is available again! What a killer late 50s spec Strat! If it was good enough for previous owner and blues titan Ronnie Earl, you know it's a good one.
To our eyes, ears, and hands, this '58 CS Strat is pretty darned close to a real '57 we had in stock. A big part of the vintage feel comes from the rift sawn maple neck, 10/56 "V" neck carve, and the 7.25-9.5" radius. The Journeyman relic'ing is very realistic, and we had them leave the back of the neck alone (we love relic jobs too, but it's nice to have some guitars without that on the neck, no?). Super resonant and lively, this Strat just feels right.
Tones? Stellar. Open, twangy, Tele-like bridge pickup tones couple beautifully with round, bell-like neck pickup tones. This is what a great vintage Strat should sound like!
Condition: Excellent+. No identifiable signs of wear beyond the factory relic/aging treatment.
Priced with original hardshell case.
