For our money, this 1952 Custom Shop Telecaster in (heavy) Relic'd Daphne Blue with a tortoise guard and a Duncan humbucker in the neck has that vibe. It looks the part, and we’re happy to report it doesn’t disappoint once you sit down to play it.

The '65 Strat C neck profile (.82-.974") feels amazing, with a beautifully worn back that immediately connects you to the guitar. Paired with a 9 1/2" radius and medium jumbo frets, the playability is top-notch. The action is set low, perfect for most any player (if you’re a heavy-handed player, we’d be happy to tweak it to your liking).

Plugged into our demo station (featuring a Carr Sportsman), the bridge pickup delivers snappy, twangy perfection, while the Seymour Duncan neck humbucker sings with a gorgeous, round tone.
