Boy, did the Fender Custom Shop get it right with this one...
Just in- an absolutely fantastic example of an early/mid 2000s Custom Shop '54 Telecaster Relic, sporting all of the great features that make the early "white guard" originals so popular and sought after.
This 2006 example boasts a full U-shaped neck reminiscent of some of the earlier Broadcasters and first-issue Telecasters, undoubtedly contributing to a lively and resonant instrument. The use of the slightly larger 6105 fretwire and 9.5" radius makes it a total joy to play, and with a lean taper up the neck, the profile is comfortable in almost any position.
Plugged in, you're rewarded with all of the great classic tele tone. The bridge pickup gives up great sparkle and twang with a full response and punchy low end, and the neck pickup has a warm, rounded tone that complements the bridge pickup wonderfully.
Condition: Excellent save for one user generated ding on the side of the body near the input jack. Gracefully aged from the factory, with little distinguishable play wear. Frets are in great shape with no wear. Setup is spot on.
