The Deimel Firestar Bass takes inspiration from classic bass designs while pushing into new territory with modern comfort, versatility, and striking aesthetics.

Built with the same forward-thinking approach as Deimel's acclaimed Firestar guitar, this custom ordered/hand-built 2015 (#007, come on!) bass balances vintage-inspired tones with innovative design.

The long-scale neck, carved from a single piece of figured hard rock maple, offers rock-solid stability and a smooth playing feel, while the Pau Ferro fretboard adds warmth and clarity to every note - complete with glow-in-the-dark side dots! Thought the previous owner logged many hours on this instrument, the frets remain in great shape with lots of life left in them.

Designed for both sonic flexibility and effortless playability, this Firestar Bass delivers a wide tonal range that adapts to practically any genre thanks to the fantastic sounding Nordstrand pickups and custom wiring - pickup on/off switches and a kill switch along w/master volume & tone.

The bass was originally ordered with a piezo pickup beneath the pickguard for more adventurous tones but is not currently wired to the upper horn's switch/button (in favor of the kill switch). These extended sound-shaping capabilities ensure a dynamic, expressive response—whether laying down deep, thumping grooves or cutting through the mix with articulate punch.
