This is a great sounding, earlier example of the fabled Collings MT2 mandolin! The tone is all there - loud, open and balanced, with a fullness to the A and E strings that makes double stops a joy to play up the neck. This particular instrument is handsomely finished with a slightly lighter sunburst, which pairs nicely with the tortoise binding and ivoroid accents.
Condition: This mandolin shows the usual signs of handling, but presents very cleanly, especially for its age. There is a light area of wear from a previously installed armrest, and a few minor dings on the treble side lower bout (where the instrument rests on your lap). A strap button has been installed on the heel. Priced with original TKL case!
