This 1999 Collings CJ is just in on trade! This is a very Gibson-inspred CJ, given its short scale and unusually dark sunburst top. It retains the trademark Collings punch and note separation, but has mellowed nicely over the last 25 years (it was previously owned by a touring musician -- lots of hours logged on this one!). The sound is warm, focused, and clear, without much of the zing one typically associates with a Collings dreadnought.
Condition: we'd rate this guitar in very good overall condition, especially considering those last 25 years of gigs! There is normal pickwear on the top, a few scattered dings and scratches on the back, and a small area of finish imprinting on the back as well (likely from a guitar stand). A Fishman undersaddle pickup and strap button have been installed. Replacement pickguard. Freshly setup in our shop, and good to go for its next owner! Priced with its original hard case.
