This is about as special a City Limits build as you're going to find on the market today.

When we first picked through the insanely limited stash of quilted Maple that was available to us back in 2022, we had high hopes for this one. Truthfully, though, nothing could prepare us for just how beautiful of a City Limits this would turn out to be.

This City Limits Deluxe features a jaw-dropping Master Grade Quilted Maple top, the likes of which we haven't seen much of in the last handful of years. This rippled figuring in the grain comes alive in the glow of this slightly tweaked Lemon Burst top finish, a color we thought would best show off the natural qualities of this Maple right to the edge of the body.

As if you couldn't present it any better - the top and back are bound in tortoise with a purfling detail that really makes it pop. The more vintage-hued stain on the Mahogany body provides just enough contrast against the top, too.

The deluxe appointments feel right at home on this CL, adding sophistication and elegance that never distract from the top wood, only highlight it.

In typical Collings fashion, this CL plays incredibly smoothly all over the neck. The Throbak Custom ERs have an amazing PAF-like richness, definition, and response, but with an airy presence. A great fit for such a stunning six string!

If there's such a thing as "top of the heap" in the Collings electric world, you'd find few to argue against this one-of-a-kind City Limits.
